Smokin’ Joe’s isn’t just a tiny family motorcycle business, it’s our tiny motorcycle business and we’re very proud of it. We know it’s not exactly a ground breaking idea, selling used motorbikes, we also know keeping the wolves from the door won’t be easy, but we’ve had a tough year, we’ve struggled through together as a family and we’re hoping that Smokin’ Joe’s might just help us keep it all together.

My Dad built his own Triton in the 60’s, my Mum rode pillion reading a book, that’s them in the photo above, enjoying themselves before baby me came along, so my interest in bikes, I suppose, was inevitable. My Dad rolled up after work with my first 50cc scrambler when I was 4 years old back in 1978, that’s me in the picture below, getting some very early biker girl attention, take note of my massive helmet, it’s my Mum’s from the picture above. Now 47 years later and ten very tough months after the loss of my Mum in January 2025, we’re working on Smokin’ Joe’s together, myself, my wife, my Dad and our three youngest kids.

We’re as small as it’s possible to be, working from our converted garage space at home, we’re lucky enough to have a well lit, covered, outdoor area for evening or wet weather viewings. We’re conveniently located just 5 minutes walk from the mainline train station at Oxenholme and just 10 minutes from M6 junction 37.

We do our very best to supply high quality bikes of all shapes and sizes and can deliver anywhere in the UK upon request. We’re also very proud of our customer care, we treat people with respect, we’re not in the habit of using biker lingo to make ourselves sound important, we don’t think we’re better than you and we love to chat, even if you don’t buy anything.
